I have a '97 3.0 liter s/c 2wd which needs some altitude. I need 2-5 inches of lift to fit 31 inch tires under the fenders and still look good. What should I get? Fabtech, Duff, Super Lift, Rancho... any sugestions whould help. Thanks

The first thing that you need to do is check and see if the suspension is the same between the 2WD and 4WD. The majority of the time they are different and some companies don't make a kit for 2WD trucks. Then find out which companies make kits that will work for your 2WD. I always reccomend suspension over body lift although the cost is considerably different. My personal choice for kits is Pro Comp. Rancho makes a good one also. I haven't ever worked with Superlift but I have heard of some problems. You also might try and find a 31" tire and put it up next to your truck or even on it if you can to get an idea of how much lift you actually need. I would guess that for you to put 31" tires on it you probably only need about 2"-3". Don't forget about turning when sizing up your tires for the front. That is the key spot for rubbing.
