I have a 69 F250 4x4 ranger. My buddy has a 69 F250 4x4 non ranger, he says his relative bought It brand new and got every option available and the ranger was the strip model. I think he's wrong because my truck has vinyl door panels and his are just metal, my tailgate has trim all the way around It, his steering wheel has a horn button In the middle and mine has the big ring on the bottom half. I also have carpet, he has a rubber mat. The only thing he has that I don't Is the trim that runs down the body line on each side. His also says custom cab above the gas filler.
Please somebody help me settle this bet!
If your friend needs proof, the Sales Brochures clearly indicate that the Ranger is the top end. Some of the guys have the Brochures scanned in so you can view them on-line.
this is correct that the XLT wasn't available untill '70. I too have the ranger model, however I pulled the carpet (so the floor wouldn't rust before I replace the windshield gasket, custom diamond pleated door panels, pulled the stock radio (still works if someone wants to make an offer), custom diamond pleated inserts (soon to be replaced with leather buckets), '75 steering column and wheel (I guess the stock piece wore out and this was the only thing available to replace it) anyway, the ranger XLT had the wood trim on the side and tailgate moulding.
