Hey.
I got a f-250 1985 inline 6 300 c.i.
I was wondering what size Carburetor i should use with my new intake and exhaust.
I have the clifford intake and clifford headers.
Can someone please help me out?
I was looking to get good gas mileage, with maybe a 2bbl or something.
Thanks.
I've seen alot of guys use the holley 390cfm. Seems to be the most popular swap from the stock 1bbl, when using the 4 bbl intake. Hopefully somone who has done this will chime in.
Look for a progressive 2 barrel carb(works like half a four barrel, one barrel opens, then the other does under harder acceleration) If this is a 4 barrel intake, why not run a smaller 4 barrel on it? You might find it does better with more fuel, on smaller primaries. Likely look at something in the 450-500 cfm range for a max. Can't offer brands off the top of my head, but they do make them for the application, and likely Edelbrock will have something for you.
