I have a 88 f250 351W without overdrive and I would like to change my tranny to one with overdrive
My question is I also have a 302 with overdrive transmission out of a 1990 f150.
Can I swap the tranny from the 302 to the 351 without many mods?????

Depends which tranny's you have You can replace a C6 with an AOD(non electronic) without much mods. Bellhousing and crossmember mounting is the same. I'm replacing my C6 with an AOD and the only mods are a new bracket for the shift linkage and replacing the kickdown cable with a thottle valve cable.
If one or both are electronic then things can get interesting.

did your swap go ok? I just did an engine swap from my 302 to a 351, and now my transmission wont shift, it engages fine, but doesnt shift. the funny thing is that it worked just fine before, so i cant figure out what's going on. i've heard some things about the flywheel not working right, but i dont know........let me know if everything went smooth, or am I the only one with this problem.....thanks
