get a throttle body spacer, and K&N air filter, will cost around 150
But what kind of gains will you see? I've frequently switched between a K&N and a paper filter with zero effects.
I can't comment on the Diablo tuner, but do have the Superchip tuner and this by and far gives the most bang for the buck....especially considering I paid less than $300 for it.
As mentioned: Intake, Exhaust, and Computer. They all work off of eachother. The exhaust itself won't free up as much as it will when the intake and computer are modded, same goes for the others.
I would probably do the intake last - it is the least likely to be "overly restrictive" in this case compared to the exhaust and the limits placed by the computer.
My 302 responded quite nicely to the exhaust upgrade. Money well spent. Can't wait for my chip...
