Cool Holley identification

I need to rebuild my Holley and I don't know which one I have so I can order the right kit. I know it is a 4 barrell and that it is either 600 or 650cfm. I bought it new in 95 from Summitt as a kit with the cam and intake.I can't find any data plate on it or anything, maybe I wansn't looking in the right place. It has backfired several times through the carb, so I am sure the power valve is also gone. How much can I expect to pay more or less for the kit and power valve ? Thanks.

On most Holleys the list number can be found on the right side of the choke air horn. On my 600 cfm 4160 the no. (1850-6) is on the main body assy facing forward just below the choke plate. The following link is to a Holley carb rebuild manual that shows the list no. location: http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/TechSer.../Instruct.html

This one is a carb list showing tech info such as cfm, jet size, etc. for each model: http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLine/CarbList.pdf

I got mine at NAPA; not sure of the exact amount, but probably ~$25. I saw them at Summitt for $21.95. The power valve is in the kit.

Cool

Never mind about the part number, I found it. What is the difference between a renew kit and a trick kit?

A trick kit has some extra tuning parts like lighter secondary springs to make the secondaries open sooner, different accelerator pump cams for more adjustments and things like that. It still has all of the parts ro rebuild it too.
You have an older, all metal (no plastic choke rods or secondary spring cover) 600CFM carb. It is a good carb. That number sounds right for the kit. AutoZone has a good deal on kits too.
