easy method for bleeding clutch master cyl
1. Remove the driver side wheel and fender well liner.
2. Remove the master cylinder from the firewall
3. Remove the "c" clip from the master cylinder
4. Hold the master cylinder at an angle and slowly remove the arm. Note: stop when fluid starts to come out of the top of the cylinder.
5. Reinsert the arm and "c" clip.
6. Reinstall the master cylinder, fender well, and wheel.
The problem is that ford angled the master cylinder downwards and since air rises to the top of the master cylinder it is almost impossible to bleed the system. If you remove the arm (and the piston attached to it) the air can escape out of the top of the master cylinder.
