auto floor shift

I have a used automatic floor shifter with the cable given to me . But park is towards the back of the transmission. I don't know how to make this work. Do I need some sort of bracket or will I have to remove the valve body and turn the linkage over. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks fellas.

What type of shifter is it? If a B&M. you can download instructions from the B&M website.

Unless you have a reverse valvebody/shift pattern, the most rearward position should be low, not park.

You would have to create an extra arm at the linkage to make another pivot point which would invert the movement from the shift cable.
