did'nt know that ford was getting rid of the big x.it's a great vehicle.great for new england winters.would be a shame if they do get rid of it.

My friend's family owns a Ford Dealership. He is going to order 2005 Diesel. He will drive it for a year and most likely I will buy it from him.

Yeah, this time Ford is serious, and the announcement became official the other day. 2005 is the final year for the Excursion, whether we like it or not. If they were going to keep it around, they would have given it all the 2005 S/D upgrades.

In the past, I have thought about downsizing to a pickup or another size SUV. I was strictly looking at MPG. You know what, my PS 2k Excursion gets about 16 on the highway, (it's lifted six inches and has 37 inch tires) maybe 14 around town. Everything I looked at didn't get much better mileage, maybe two or three miles per gallon better. NTM, all of the space I would be forfeiting. I am looking at getting a bio-diesel set-up in the near future. I love my Excursion. And guess what, it's only ME AND MY GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG. FU enviros.
