Noise at startup.
I have a 94 2.3L with just over 41,000 miles. Its always ran great however lately I have this weird noise almost like a squealing noise at startup. if its idling its fine or if you rev it up. However when you put it in first and give it mild acceleration it sounds like its pinging. it only does it up to about 15mph then it runs great. and it doesnt ping at any other time if thats helps any... and it used to ping at highway speed until i put mid grade in it. its weird i need help..thanks.

Noise at startup.
Mine makes a similar noise when it it cold and it goes away when it warms up. It seems to be the idle air valve rattling. I also have a Honda CRX that does the same thing. I just ignore it.
