Problems with Cruise Control

My Cruise control will not turn on. When I try to turn it on then hit the set accell button all I get is a quick flash of the Cruise light on the dashboard. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any ideas on where I should look to find the problem? Thanks in advance fo ant help I receive.

RBRADBURY9753,

You might want to check the sensor at the end of the master cylinder first. My cruise control light would flash, but not engage, just like yours. $20 redesigned part from the dealership fixed it right up. First link below has an old post dealing with the sensor, and the second post is details what can happen if you don't replace the sensor if it's leaking!!

The sensor is at the very end of the master cylinder, angled downward and towards the engine. It has a pigtail connected to it with two wires (in a black wire loom) going to a larger wiring harness.

Hope this helps!
