I have a '99 F-250 diesel..
My son has a '03 F-250 diesel..
We were talking about fuel filters and he has two, one on top of the engine and another along the frame.
I believe I only have the one but now I'm not sure.. Does the '99 have one or two ?
On your truck, if it's all stock, you should just have the filter in the engine valley. The fuel pump is on the framerail, but, that is all that's down there.
Don't know about a 6.0 if that's what your son has.
Yes, the 6.0 has one (call the Horizontal Fuel Conditioning Module, or HFCM) mounted along the frame rail under the driver, and another tiny one up on the engine. They come as a set when you buy replacements, and you change both at the same time. The 7.3s only have the one filter on top of the engine.
