I just recently replaced the dash lights in my brothers 96 explorer, very time consuming and 3 different type bulbs. I had to take the radio face plate off and the dash piece under the steering wheel. Took about 2 hours including drive to store for bulbs. Not very hard just alot of stuff to take off to get there. I replaced all of them while i was back there. And when i say all i mean just the illumination bulbs, not indicator lights, ie. check engine, seat belt, etc..
