With the lift blocks and those radius arms what happens to the axle when it articulates???
I also like the sawzall crossmember...
Did the guy with the body lift find an old building to tear down? He must have to get that ceiling joist... -er frame.
I can't imagine that it actually does articulate. Then again looking at the driveshaft I'm doubtfull he can even drive the thing.
You were close on the body lift but not quite. Read the description given . . . makes it even funnier: http://128.83.80.200/taco/scarysteering.html There's all kinds of good stuff there but the content isn't really FTE appropriate. That site keeps me entertained for hours . . . good stuff.
Btw, if anyone sees anything in that site that closely resembles something you've done to your rig . . . you probably better fix it or hide it.
That Taco was scary...What IS the proper angle of shackle, anyways?
Here's about minumum: https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal.../60156.520.390
Another 10 degrees on that would be fine too. I've increased the angle slightly and it worked out great as you saw in the articulation pictures. I'm hoping to get it on the forklift in a week or so to really test it out.
What you DON'T want is shackles that are straight up and down. Shoot for 30-45 degrees.
