Over 50 roar

I just picked up my Tribute yesterday ( long story, miserable experience), and I have a whistle that seems to come from the back cargo area that starts at about 50mph, and works itself into a roar at 60mph. It's like the window is open a crack or something, very annoying. In fact, cancels out most of the things I like about it. Anyone else with this issue? Suggestions? (Turning the radio up does not help!)

You might check to make sure all the rubber weatherstripping is in place. I think the weather stripping on the rear passenger doors is poorly designed.

Also the stock Continental tires were extremely loud. Just replaced the tires(30,000 miles) on the wife's Tribute with some Yokohama (ht-s I think) and it made a world of difference in road feel and reduction of road noise.

Thanks pilot10, I think that may be the problem. Just gotta get it into the shop for them to check. I will replace the tires just as soon as I get done dealing with the stealership for some other issues... Them damn Conti's are really loud!
