i am looking to get a dual gauge pod for my truck and i have the dark flint interior so my A-pillers are grey, anyone find a grey A-piller gauge pod or did anyone try to paint the black one grey??
second question if i get a trans temp gauge even though we "have one" do i need to drill a hole in the pan? i don't have the tourqueshift trans.
ok third question: right now i am planning on a volt meter because some how it seemed to get lost sometime between 93 and 04, and second maybe air/fuel or trans temp, what do you guys recomend and if both i will get the triple pod.
Pillars come black and you paint them to match the interior. Many places that sell the gauges and pods will also sell the paint to match the stock color.
There is a test port on the trans where you can install the temp. sender. Or if you have a Mag-Hytec pan like I do there is a port on their pan for the temp. sender.
I got mine pre-painted... but low & behold I picked the wrong collor. Tan and medium parchment are not the same thing...
I just spray painted it. Looks fine.
I was nervous about painting/matching a pod to my interior, so I got the wood grain pod to match the interior trim already in the truck. www.dieselsite.com has them; looks nice & comes with a matching passenger side pillar.
Ford interior paint would be your best bet to match.
Some places carry the Ford paint and others will ship the pods pre painted if you tell them your interior color.
