what is the deffernts between the reg ranger and a ranger STX?
as you proble aready can tell i am kinda new to the ranger i am looking for better gas milage, my 1979 bronco with a 3 inch has quite the apatite for fuel

stx was basically another trim package phased out around '97 that also gave you a stepside bed instead of the regular beds. i'm sure there are other smaller details that differ too.

do you have a picture of a step-side STX?? cause i've never seen one.... i have a 96 STX.....

Possibly you are thinking of the Splash package that included a stepside bed? I also have never seen an STX stepside.
