Timing Question

I have a 1993 F-150 with a 302. I change the engine and the junk yard said the new 302 was the same year. The problem is the firing order is not the same, the book says that the 302 I got from the junk yard is 1995 or newer. Do I set the time to the 1993 specs? if not does anyone know the new setting?

the 95 motor uses the same firing order as a 5.0HO or a 351w.......even if you are using your trucks computer and distributor you need to change the firing order.

Timing Help

Thats Exactly Right. Its The Camshaft That Make The Difference. The Firing Order Is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8, And Base Timing Is 10 Degrees Btdc. Dont Forget To Unplug The Spout Connector Before Setting The Timing, Its The Little Gray Plug That Gives The Computer Control Of The Timing, Located By The Distributor Or Sometimes The Left Fenderwell.
