I have gotten a couple fenders for my 79 from Mac's and had good luck with them. www.macsautoparts.com
The easiest way is to go to the website and have them mail you a free catalog.
I think Mac's, LMC, J.C. whitney and most other aftermarket body panel dealers get their stuff from the same stamping plant overseas. That means no matter who you get them from you may have to deal with a little misalignment, pounding, cussing, re-drilling holes and so on.
The O.E.M. parts are a lot better but more expensive, and getting harder to find. The only part I would say is necessary to replace with O.E.M. is the tailgate. Aftermarkets tend to be flimsy and bend easy.
If you want O.E.M. I think L.M.C. is your best bet. www.lmctruck.com
The parts made on OEM tooling are the best. Several companies sell them. OEM tooling requires the use of the same steel (thickness and quality) as the OEM used in order to get the dies to work. Many other aftermarket suppliers use thin or soft steel to make the parts on cheap tooling that does not produce an accurate part. The soft or thin steel bends easily and will not hold it's shape. The difference in price is insignificant when compared to the many hours of your own time spent on replacing the part. You will also spend many more hours fitting and finishing a cheap part.
