Lowering 78 F150

Lowering 78 F150
Relatively new to vehicles modified from stock, so please be patient with me, and haven't owned a ford since the last 78 f150 I had back in the mid 80's.
I recently bought a new 78 f150 (2wd) and not sure if suspension has been modified. I am not entirely sure what height the truck should set above the ground.
I have noticed that there are only three leaf springs on the back. I thought there were supposed to be five.
Not sure where to go from here. Any ideas on where to start is appreciated.
