>My check engine light came on (I have a 99 Eddie Bauer Expedition). I had the codes read @ AutoZone - the codes that came on indicated that there was a problem with both the Mass Air Flow Sensor and the O2 sensor(s). After further investigation, the 02 sensors tested out as A-OK. The mass air floe sensor tested as bad - so I replaced it and cleaned my air filter. During my test drive it ran great for about 1/2 mile and then began to chug and run like it was REALLY missing. I went back home and disconnected the battery cable to clear the error condition and went out for another drive. Everything appeared - then - to be fine. I drove to the gas station this morning and filled up. I neglected to put the gas cap on when I started it up and got "The Light". Knowing what had caused it, I cleared the error condition one more time and drove on into work. The truck ran better than it did when we bought it. Then, at lunch, "The Light" came on again. <o

). It also depends on your gear ratio as well. with some getting a little better mpg.
