Thumbs up Kansas Chapter and a Reflection back

Well gang the year is quickly coming to and end and it won’t be long before we embark on a new one. I would like to reflect back on the past year and the things we have accomplished. We were able to start a new chapter at FTE and built it into one of, if not the, most active chapter here. In doing so we held onto a core group of people that mean a lot to each other and were able to remain as a group. The enthusiasm and dedication of all these members started flowing out and gathered new people to the group. We did not just add numbers to our membership list but instead added more friends to a great group. These new friendships and members have not only come from our own area but have reached across state lines to include people from east to west and north to south. This is a great compliment on just what caliber of people we have here. In the past year we have also managed to keep active with regular monthly meets in two areas of the state. Being able to draw people monthly to these meets again shows that we are more then just a forum chapter, but indeed a real group who enjoys the friendship of the others. In the midst of these regular meetings we have thrown together other successful G2G’s which include 2 lake days that were especially fun and exciting. We have shown that there is help when needed by showing up to help others work on their trucks, cars or even move. These were things that didn’t require anything more then saying we had a problem or needed help. Fordtoberfest was especially great again this year and was a wonderful tribute to a lost member. Again this came about due to the hard work and dedication of members who wanted the show to be great and their hard work was a success. The Christmas party went of well this year with a good attendance and it was a lot of fun. We had people there from all over the state and once again were able to solidify new friendships. All in all I could not be more proud of a group of people and as the chapter leader I stand humbled to be with such a group. The New Year will bring us the chance to continue to expand on what we have done so far, for this chapter will continue to grow and prosper. This group is not capable of doing anything but greatness and the members are the best of the best. I look forward to what the new year may bring and the ideas that the members will bring forth to keep things exciting. My best wishes to all of you during this holiday season and may all your days be filled with joy. Thank you all for being a part of my life and for being a friend.

Well said Rollie! I hope to be more active during this year and if I get my butt in gear maybe I'll finally get Old Smokey, my 54 F250 in somewhat presentable shape to bring to a gathering. I especially would like to thank you and the "regulars" for keeping this all going.

With that said, wow is all I have to say! I wish i could have been more proactive in the prosperity of the Chapter this year. I have had so many changes in my life in 2003, i became overwelmed. So i wish to thank Rollie and the rest of you who made us so great! Keep up the good work. I would like to get 2005 off to a good start and offer to host another BBQ at Shawnee Mission Park. I think we had a great turn out last year. But i believe we can do better this year. I like to see 25- 50 % turn out for a GTG. The park offers us a lot of room to show off our stuff and a place to cook out and have some fun. So lets keep this in mind and lets start planning when the weather is premitting! God bless you all and have a wonderful holiday season!!!

Well Rollie, I don't think any of us could have said it any better. This is a great chapter that anyone would be proud to be a part of.
