interior floor board lights

interior floor board lights

has anyone hooked up lights inside the cab to light up the floor when you open the door or flick the switch on on the dash. my 02 doesnt have them and i dont know if thats how the fords come stock, but i would like to put some lights on, i am wondering which wire to tap into to make the lights work when the door opens or by using the switch.

My '01 Lariat didn't have them either. I went to the salvage yard, and snagged a couple from an old Lincoln. I just tapped into the wire in the driver's side kick panel. It was black/blue stripe (-). I hooked up the pos to constant + and when the door opens or you turn on the dome from the switch/dimmer it grounds the neg to complete the circuit. Go to the12volt.com and do a search for your wiring. Should be the same. Anyway, they work great. You'd figure for $40K they would come with them and a few other things, but oh well. Hope that helps.

yeah no kidding, my 1990 chev that i had before this psd had a few more things on it than this truck. but i guess lights or no lights, im still glad i bought the psd
