Hey folks-
Quick question about captains chair arms. My driver side arm rest droops. Without taking it all the way apart yet, it appears that the whole arm wobbles on its peg just enough that the height detent slides off its rest. If anyone has had one of these apart and knows any tips for a lasting repair, I'd appreciate hearing from them.
PS- I am relatively new to the forum and have not mastered the search function yet. I'd appreciate any tips on using the search function successfully, too.
My thanks in advance, ladies and gentlemen!

Unzip the fabric from the rear of the arm rest and then go buy the torx head driver that fits the big bolt holding the arm rest on. Lift the arm rest up to all the way and tighten it... Should work perfectly. I've had to do this once or twice in the 10 years I've had mine.
I took mine apart once to try and tighten it, it was loose on its mount - but the Torx bolt was tight. There was some sort of allen head adjusting mechanism in there but it looked like one of those things that would be a PITA to get back together if I took it apart, so I zipped the cover back up and it is still sort of loose.
I'm going to take another shot at it - any advice?
You could always comb the salvage yards for an arm rest that doesn't droop, then put your old arm rest cover on it.
BTW, when I got my '92, the driver's side arm rest was rather nasty looking from years of being leaned on so I swapped it with the one from the passenger's side. When you swap them like that, the top of the nasty one becomes the bottom of the other one. Now, the nasty side is on the bottom of the PS.
I have an 1980 Bronco with the armrest coevered in vinyl. There is no zipper on the armrests, so I don't know how ot get ot the mechanism inside to do any adjustments.
I hvae the problem that the passenger side armrest is EXTREMELY difficult to move into the up posiition once itis lowered I almost need a floor jack to get it back up.
