Cab Bushing Replacement

Anybody replaced their cab bushings? How much work involved and what was the reward? Would you recommend this for an old truck(85).

it definitely needs done. it is a pain. I replaced mine with poly bushings. it seems a lot firmer, but I've yet to drive it on the road. Make sure you use wd-40 or pb blaster on the bolts. DO NOT cut the end of the bolts with a torch. you have to reuse it.

The way I did mine was to unbolt one side, and loosen the other side. Put a 4x4 on a jack and jack up one side at a time. Replace the bushings, put the bolts on snug but not tight, and go to the other side and do the same thing to that side. Just remember to jack the body up high enough to slide the bushings out and no higher. I put a little thread locker on the bolts and torque them down good. It's an easy job if you're organized, but if you're like me, it can get exciting, but not hard at all.
