trans problems
well this mornin when i got off work i started off down the road and the trans started downshifting by itself, i pulled over and checked everthing out fluid and all was ok. now it seems fine when taking off and highway driving but it don't want to change gears unless u step off the gas other than that it does not seem to be slipping and i have all the gears including overdrive any help appreciated.

My truck did the same thing. It would not shift out of 1st unless you let off the pedal. All the rest shifted fine. The fix " A new transmission". I took it to the dealer for testing. The dealer can hook up a Transmission diagnostic machine and tell what’s wrong. The test along was $75. New "rebuilt" transmission $2675.00 w/3yr/36000 warranty.

well the dealer called me today said the one way clutch for second gear had went out they want around $2,000 to fix it or i can take it to a trans shop and have them rebuild it for around $1,500 what do ya'll think i should do and why do u think it went out so soon the truck aint got but 35,000 on the odometer.
