i need help assembling my 292 starter

By end do you mean the starter gear? Or the end of the houseing? The starter gear should have a roll pin that goes thru the shank of the gear and the starter shaft. The end of the starter itseld is I believe held on by two screws that are as long as the whole starter. Hope this helps.

Its realy easy, but beeofre a ressemble, if you can, have the commutator checked (part the brushe ride on, and double check your bendix drive and the bearings on each end of that starter, I HAVE REBUILT MANY OF THESE.....Janet

Glad to see you made it over here. Ive been trying to get my scanner working, havent tried it since upgrading to XP Pro from 98SE.
