Don't waste your time, go directly to a lemon law site and get a new truck
this step will save alot of grief, and your personal time, IMHO
I am a first time ford buyer and I like the truck, but not the B.S. that they give with it

Foneman, who are you talking to??? Lemon laws and DSB's we are trying to keep out of this thread...
We are looking for actual results from the new Ford TSB on vibration problems...
Has anyone had the vibration completly fixed, and not had it reappear. I just changed the tires and it's still there. If they don't fix it there gettting it back.
I had the rear-end damper put on. What a joke. It mount off the left-rear leaf spring. It did nothing of course except make me loose time from work. An FSE is supposed to look at my truck soon, waiting on callback on the date. My dealer seems to thing my vibration is normal since he has 2 others on his lot with the same problem. Mines been in 6 times for this.
I had the driveshaft replaced last week 12/16/04 (4L3Z-4602-XB). When I asked why they were not using the new '05 part #, I was told because my previous driveshaft was one piece so the new one had to be one-piece.....?? Is that true? At any rate the one they installed did absolutely nothing......time to make a decision, will be 6th time in since I bought it 9/24......ugh!
Thanks to everyone here, I did know more than the service guy! Think they cringe when they see me walk in! Kay
Anybody else got one of the new driveshafts on backorder? I had mine in the shop the day the TSB came out. When they ordered the driveshaft Ford superceded the part number with the new one. Now they don't know WHEN they will get it.
I just want a damn truck that doesn't vibrate at 55 mph. Just curious what everyone else is being told.
My dealer picked my truck up today and left me a minivan. Visit #7, except an FSE will be looking at it this time. This is their final repair attempt. I'll let you know what I get a call back from them. Dealer seems to think it's normal since a few other trucks on his lot have the same issue but I know better then that. I'll soon see if the FSE steps up to the plate and what he replaces.

DRk, like I said over on the other 150 board I doubt the DSB will bite until you let Ford go through the whole TSB procedure. If you refuse to let them my guess is the only way out will be your states lemon laws. Something tells me thats allot more complicated than dealing with the DSB.
As I stated above I don't really see anything new in these new TSB's that I haven't read about on here already being tried. The new TSB's are considered a flow chart in the respect it's the order of the way things are tried that Ford is looking for.. No doubt this is how Ford get's organized for a recall. It's testing/learning act so Ford can figure out how to fix the problems. There's no sense recalling a couple 100,000 trucks if you don't know what to do to fix them. More than likely the DSB will work with them on this and stall off any new complaints until Ford has run a couple 1000 of them through the new TSB's..

“We are looking for actual results from the new Ford TSB on vibration problems...” The latest TSBs are just a band-aid and the same ole fixes. Ford is just hoping that you will go way or your warranty will run out. These failed TSBs could be more ammo for a case with the DSB. The vibration problems have been around ever since Ford put the original prototype on the road in March 03. Why did they hire Eagle Picher to help with vibration probems? http://www.eaglepicher.com/NR/rdonly...ORDRELEASE.pdf
You can apply to the DSB any time for each problem with your truck within your warranty period. You don't have to wait for Ford to do all the TSBs. I really liked my experience with the DSB. They were very nice and to the point each of my 2 phone interviews before the 5 person board. The only way to make Ford fix the problems is to hit them in the pocket book. They can not afford (which that have done for 15 months and how many thousands of vehicles) to keep producing vibrating trucks.
I have no choice. The dealer flat refused to do anything else (TSB's barely followed) and an FSE looked at my truck last night. The service order states, "FSE drove and evaluated truck and determined that it is operating as designed and what the customer is feeling is normal road feel. No further repairs are to be attempted."
I guess driveline vibration is "feeling the road". Still trying to figure out why I only really "feel" the road between 40mph-50mph. Explain that one to me.
DrkShadow,
I can't believe they didn't at least change your driveshaft! I saw the pictures you posted and I can see you still have the older style center carrier support which is "D" shaped instead of the new "Circular" shaped one that is supposed to cure some of the vibration problems.
