My dad survived a colon operation for cancer, then a year later died, eaten to bits by cancer that returned and spread throughout his body. I, also, had a friend who's sister had developed cancer and needed some kind of transfusion. He went to have his blood tested to see if he could give her some of his. They found his system loaded with cancer cells. He didn't even know he was sick before going in for the blood draw. He died less than two months later.
My dad was 55, so I have two years to go to match his age. I'm a heavy smoker, thoroughly addicted. I don't expect that I will see the sunny side of 60, but every day over 55 will be a bonus and I will try to enjoy each with as much enthusiasm as I can.

Hey there Dick, now that I met you, I'm not letting you get off that easy. You'll make it in the 70's or 80's. If for some reason you do go earlier, I have put a word in with the big boss that you will need a high chair, (Short joke) and a lap top to keep us all informed and to help me out when I do dumb things with my posting.
