I brought my 2001 escape to the dealer today for that trannie shuttering problem they had the car for NINE HRS ! and when i went to pick it up the guy had the nerve to tell me they didnt get to it ! anyone else having that problem with there tranny and poor gas milage please let me know thanks ......
No problem up here if you make a 7 am apointment they give me a call by 9am to tell what they found. I like how I can get a free car to drive in the mean time. Also they wash my auto to. I just had it towed in a few weeks ago and with out an apointment they called with in a few hours. It looks like they have twenty bays and there always full. Find out if this happens alot. Is they another dealer around? Did you get a free replacement car to drive in the mean time, from the dealer?
I'd be interested in knowing what they will actually do for the shudder other than a trannie flush and possible reflash. It will fix the problem temporarily but you may be looking at a rebuild down the road. Then again, they may not have gotten around to working on it since there isn't a true fix.
