Hey Crew.. 2000 PSD, Pulls to the right while going down the road, and then when braking it really takes off.. Air pressure is good, replaced both front and rear calipers on the right side, bled all the brake lines, had the alignment checked at two different places, since I didn't believe the first one, talked to the mechanic and he said the left caliper may be sticking, so jacked up the front and checked that and that was fine,, No ideas left and winter is coming on and it is really difficult to plow snow with this going on. Any help would be appreciatted,,, Thanks in advance
Did the alignment places check the rear axle? The front could be aligned, yet the rear could be at a slight angle due to bad spring bushings, misaligned spring centering pins, loose U-bolts, or faulty springs. Do you have a lift kit on the rear? If so, check to see if all the centering pins are aligned and the block tapers are in the same direction.
Try swapping tires side to side. A broken belt could cause the same problem. If it makes a change at all, tires are the problem. It won't always cause the same problem on the other side though. So just look for a change. It might even make things worse on the same side. Good luck.
Hey Guys, Thanks for the ideas, I got it fixed, The problem was in the right front caliper, After checking the back axle and switching the tires it still pulled, so I got it back in the shop and pulled off the right front caliper and everything looked good and got to thinking that the new caliper came with new pads that I put on with it, not realizing that they were a different grade than the other side that I had replaced 3 weeks earlier, good thing I saved the other set, changed them out, rebleed and presto!!! No pulling --- Again THANKS for the info and the good ideas, this is a great site to bounce ideas off other people.. Catch you later and bring on the SNOW I'm ready to go.
