"Brights" Floor Button

My foot-activated floor switch for my brights has seized and won't move at all. I'm wondering how this is serviced? Thanks for any input.

I'm not sure how to service it. Maybe some WD40? It is not that difficult to replace it with a new one.

Just go buy a new one. They only cost about $10. It is just held on by 2 screws. Good luck!

Yup...

Two screws hold it on the floor. I just replaced mine. Do it soon or it will leave you WITHOUT ANY LIGHTS!
Yes, if this connection is bad, your headlights will just shutoff. Kinda freaks you out at 75 miles an hour on an empty highway at 2am (that's when it happened to me).

You will more than likey have to pull the carpet up to get to it...no big deal really. The electrical connector should just pull off.

Check to see if your electrical connection is three blades or two!!!

I had to make a return trip cause to the parts store cause I didn't know this.

Good luck. You may want to put a little dielectric grease on the plug as well. Some people also relocate it to the side wall so that it won't collect salt and moisture.
