Bump Stops?????
I was under the front of my 2WD 1977 F250 recently (removing a transmission), and I noticed the bump stops are pretty beat.
Can I go to my local FoMoCo dealer and as Mr. Motorcraft for new bump stops (for a 1977)?
Or is this a junkyard mission?
Are there better than stock (like urethane) bump stops available in the aftermarket?
Can bump stops be ordered by physical description and measurements, as with springs and shocks, if you know what you're doing?
Inquiring minds want to know -- well, mine does.

Hey Lane, I'm sure the stealership will sell you some and you might get lucky to find a few in the yards. There are polyurethane bump stops available all over. broncograveyard.com has them. Also energysuspension.com has a catalouge they will send you for a couple of bucks. I think bumpstops are measured in inches and half inches. Measure your old ones and round up. There are solid ones and progressive stops. Check ebay too. Just don't outbid me.
