99 7.3 Waterpump

Somebody's had to have done one of these. I don't have the truck here to look at or I wouldn't ask. Does the shrowd have to come off? Any special tools required? Are the A/C, P/S brackets on top of the waterpump? Any info is appreciated.

i have changed mine twice, 99 f350 sd psd. you will need wrenches to unscrew the fan clutch from the pump,remove the coolant recovery tank, then remove the clutch and shroud together, helpfull tip: loosen the water pump pulley bolts before removing the belt, then unbolt the pump. replace the thermostat at this time, flush the system out and install approved coolant. you can update the upper radiator hose to a newer model hose so that if you ever had to replaced the fan belt, you will not have to remove the hose to get the belt off.
