Please help with ID

I thought I had a 87 351w for a f150 4x4. I am slowly tearing into this engine to add a cam and maybe some other things, plus fix the oil leaks. The block # is D4AE-8015-AA4. There is a tag riveted above that with # 7116 . If I am not mistaken its a 74 block and other then that I have no idea. Im going to pull intake here in a few to find out what heads are on it. I am askin cause I have put 3 rear main seals in it, 2 flywheels, and 2 starters. I know the tranny is an 87 just replaced less then 1yr ago.
What are the differences in a 87 windsor and a 74 if any. By looking at the code its not one used in a truck, if I ain't mistaken. Is there a difference in car and truck engines other then cam and timing?
Thank in advance for any info

The head casting numbers are on the underside of the head, on the bottom of one of the intake ports. They should be E5TE heads, maybe E7TE heads if it is an 87 engine. I would have thought you would have at least an E0 or E4 engine block though.

Do the heads have to be off to see the number? I was told when I bought the truck that some engine work had been done but wasn't sure what. So far from what I have apart it has been rebuilt with aftermarket stuff. The first clue was the harmonic balancer. Then the casting number. From what I have found so far it came from a 74 fullsize/ galaxy car. I may just pull the heads for ****s and giggles to give me a better idea what I actually have and am working with, since I am there anyway. Was there any difference in a 74 block and an 87? Is there a differnce in seals and gaskets..thickness mabye? I had read somewere that deck height had changed, don't remember what year. That may have been for 302 but can't remember. So other than the difference in years was there any other differences in the 351w that will not work from one to the other?

Intake has to be off to see the numbers, then you will need a mirror to find the casting numbers on the heads, heads can still be bolted to the block.
