289,torque?

wut can i do to get the most possible torque out of my 289 out of a 66 f-100?

stroke it and a good cam designed for torque is a good place to start. lots of other options too.

i would use a edelbrock performer intake, a matching cam maybe with 204-214 @.050 also a set of full length headers and a good exhaust. you could run a single 3in. to maintain low end. also a 600 holley. one more thing, you can advance the cam 2-4 degrees to gain more torque.
