Spark Plug Gap
Greetings and Happy Holidays,
Quick Question. When you have a bad spark plug gap, say it's too wide or to closed. Would any engine vibrate (pulse) when Idling in drive. The reason is my buddy dropped a plug and inserted it back in, but he gapped it. Now he says when he's at a red light he can feel the truck vibrate in pulses, not heavy, maybe like a strong shake every 10 seconds maybe. He also says it comes and go for a while. I felt the vibration too, the rpm gauge seem to stay steady at 850rpm. I would assume it's a bad gap and that the engine is misfiring the spark, therefore waist to much gas and give less power. What do you guys think. I would appreciate the response from anybody/technician. Thanks and happy holidays.
