I have a 92' ford ranger that does not start in wet cold weather. In cold weather it hesitates to start but eventually does. But if its wet outside it wont start at all, doesnt even attempt to turn over. Any suggestions? Engine is a 3.0l v6
Sounds like possibly a bad/corroded connection that somehow absorbs moisture when it's damp out. I assume it's cranking over at a good speed and the battery and cables are not an issue. There may also be two issues/problems judging by what you've said. Regarding the hard to start when cold, have you tried pulling codes?
I'd suggest posting in the Ranger Forum for more vehicle specific readership .
the moisture could be messing with the ignition. my truck has done that before and the codes pointed to the ignition. it was pretty wet so i cleared the codes and never got it again. just a thought
