I run all my wires down through the rubber plug right in the middle of the driver side floorboard. It is there and you can pretty easily slice a hole in it with a razor blade, then squeeze the wires through. You may want to remove the plug after you do that, as it will make it much easier to feed the wires through and out. Under the hole where the plug is is a channel type deal, and you must fish the wires through another hole in that. works for me anyways.
Rip up that piece of plastic trim in the door sill on the driver side. I think thats what was said above, and it works great...I have run many wires and I cut a hole in the floorboard and restuffed it with a but-out rubber plug that I made w/ a floor mat, then sealed the crack with silicone. Everytime i run a new wire, I just run a new bead of silicone to seal it all up. works great.
PSD 60L F4X Tonight I ran my roof magnamount CB ant. through the pass. floorboard via a grommet ,I ran the ant. between the bed and cab and wiretied it to the pass. side rail under the truck. Do you have the cable exposed from the roof to behind the cab to the rear cab vents? I do and cant figure a way to route the ant without going through the cargo light witch I really dont want to do. THANKS
There is also a plug behind the top of the rug on the passenger side.
As mentioned above, the cab vents in the rear, but I'd use the plugs and reseal them.
You wouldn't want to leave the vent flaps open, bugs like to crawl around.
For the antenna, I'd say the best route is either the floorboard grommet or the elongated holes (black plastic plugs) under the trim along the door sill. You can route it through the framing most of the way. Look close enough and you'll see an opening at the rear of it.
My cord runs from my CB around to and under those plastic pieces next to the doors, and out the vents in the back. I mounted the antenna to the side of my toolbox with front half of a mirror antenna mount on the passenger side.
illegel ??? hell, i used to run a 250 watt cb, and a friend of mine was running well over 500 watts...... on a good day we could pick up people far enough away they should have spoken different languages. although, if he keyed up next to a "4" watt system, he would have fried it !!!
