Looking at a minimum lift all around.

Yeti.....Me being long in the tooth, want to lift my F250 4X4 a minimum of 3 1/2 or 4 inches, just enough to clear some boulders in the river. I don't want the look of the younger guy's high risers with the huge wheels. If I do lift it up the minimum and keep my stock wheels (BF Goodrich 16's), will they look funny or undersized? It is a really clean 2000 Lariat, without a scratch on it. I don't want to get into the big wheel and tire thing and all the problems they can produce, with balancing, noise and all, not to mention the big bucks. What are your feelings on this idea?

Your tires may look a bit undersized but nothing to goofy, and that can always be changed the next time you buy tires.

Heck, I ran my stockers with 11".....talk about looking a bit undersized

All comes down to functionality and the main thing....it's your truck..you do what you want to it..
