Overdrive not working?
Hi,
Is there any way to tell if the OD is working? I have noticed that the switch doesn't do anything when running at any speed so I guess there is a fault on the control system.
I note that the switch module comes out of the end of the transmission shifter as a complete module. Are these reliable as it would be a simple cheap thing to change first...
What is the typical failures on them.
'92 302 EB, E40D etc.

I've had a look at this switch this eve and as far as I can tell its ok. I get continuity between two of the pins when the button is pressed and the LED lights up when I put a PP3 battery accros the correct terminals. I took the whole thing apart and cleaned up the internal contacts too as they were a little tarnished.
Where abouts is the PCM on a 92 Bronco with E40d so I can start chasing wiring.
