I've been eye balling this winch I saw locally, its got like an inch thick cable and its mounted in its own bumper, its currently on an f-350 dually with one of those trash compactor beds, lol it sticks out about 2 foot in front of the truck... I'd want it so I can hook the cable up to a bridge and pull my truck straight up, lol that would be funny as hell, I think the winch came off of a skider...
What would be a good winch for a single cab truck like mine? I dont need anything too heavy, just good enough to get me unstuck from time to time....
I have one of those Napa comercial batteries for buses and tractors on my truck I think its got like 950 CCA.... makes my starter scream, lol....
alright, i have my winch bolted to the front of my truck now with a custom bumper i built at skool and mmm mmm good! it looks so good. i am gonna pick up an agricultural battery tom (rated at 1380 CCA) so i can run only one battery instead of 2.
I think that i am going to have to double check the numbers on the used winch my dad just picked up the other week, he's mounting it on a reciever of sorts to be used on a trailer and whenever he needs it on another truck, or when i need it .
i paid $80 cash for it...brought it home, hooked it up to my battery charger, hit the 'reel in' side of the remote that came with it, and it whizzed the steel cable in faster than i imagined.
-cutts-
BTW... i am dropping my camera off at wal-mart today so tonight i should have some
