Does anyone know were the control module for the cruse control is located on a 94 Areostar? My cruse control stoped working, fuse is good. Any help appreciated.
The EVTM for my 95 Taurus-yours might be totally different-shows 2 fuses for the CC one is wired to horn & cruise control buttons & the other is wired to the CC brain. So there might be a second fuse to check.
Do you have a wiring diagram?
The amplifier is located under the instrument panel at the right-hand of the dash next to the glove box (Aerostar) or behind the instrument panel, above the glove box on Ranger and Explorer vehicles.
NOTE:
Refer to the appropriate illustration in the Description and Operation portion of this section.
Removal and Installation
1. Open glove compartment and squeeze sides of the glove compartment to allow it to rotate down beyond the rubber stops.
2. Remove glove compartment courtesy light (if so equipped). Remove two screws and remove amplifier and bracket assembly from the instrument panel.
3. Remove two screws holding amplifier assembly to instrument panel bracket (Aerostar), or amplifier bracket on Ranger and Explorer vehicles.
4. Disconnect two electrical connectors at amplifier.
For installation, follow removal procedures in reverse order.
A very common cause of cruise control not working on an Aerostar is a burned out brake light bulb. Check to make sure all 3 brake lights work before doing anything else.
