Welcome!
Rev Limiter should kick in at about 5,500. A hint though: If you hold your odemeter reset button on your guage face then turn the key(not starting it yet)and wait a couple of seconds, the truck will go into diagnostic mode. Release the button and keep pressing it down till you see( on the digital odemeter) "tach". Crank her up and give it a try...Cameron

There's a link around here somewhere with all the crap you can check and do with it, but the main ones are Tach, MilerPerHour, KiloPerHour (I think), a bunch of pressure codes, and so on...
Oh BTW, redline for your truck is around 5300-5500 RPM's when you are flooring it. Also...Tacoma?! What in the world for? Mileage or something? Those things are really slow, but I think they do get waaaay better mileage than our trucks.

I'm not really into tacomas either, or Toyota trucks to begin with. I'm still not buying into the whole japanese truck thing, tacoma OR tundra, or any other. They're just too small. My standard cab F150 feels roomier than a double cab tundra. I work on those all the time at work.
As far as tacoma is concerend? My 91 honda accord had more interior space. How do I know? I owned a tacoma for about 2 years, and went back to my good ol' accord.
MPG wasn't that great either, for the 4banger.
