I need to know what would be a good/nice restaurant to get a gift card for a married couple that i know. I have known the girl for quite some time but not the guy and i dont know what kind of food they like. Out of these five choices, which one would you choose- Applebees, Chilis, Frontier Pies, Outback Steakhouse, or Sizzler? Which place would be the nicest? Also, how much money would be adequate for two people?
You've known her for awhile, if she's a steak eater my vote is for Outback, assuming he's a regular guy and likes his steak.
If i wasn't too sure of eithers' eating habits I might go with Chili's since they tend to have a wider range of meals.
Isn't there sone kind of gift money cards you can get these days, like a prepaid debit card? Seems like I heard about it...that way they could choose what they wanted. Wrap with menus from some good places...
I gotta go with the majority here and vote for Outback Steakhouse! Just wish there was one here locally...I gotta drive 350 miles one way to go eat there! But I'll tell ya...it's worth it!
IMO, A guide for how much money to spend :
The price of an above average meal x 2 <> with One drink each & enough to cover the tip.
Aside from extra alcohol, this makes the entire outing on you.
If you have a Texas Roadhouse there and you are choosing Outback for the steak aspect go with Texas Roadhouse. There steak and Ribs outdue outback by far and cost about the same. Two people can eat and have a drink for $50 there.
I agree with Bullet-Nose. Find a nice, hometown, unique restaurant. A gift certificate to one of these would be a much nicer, memorable gift. As for Outback, I find it overpriced and over-rated.
