94 2.3, 5 speed. Num. 3 cyl. shuts down during warm-up every morning. After reaching a certain temp. or time? it turns back on. Pretty strange but that's what's happ'n...Any thoughts would be much appreciated. e.j. moose
Does your 4-cylinder Ranger use the coil packs? If so .........
Had a similar problem with a Windstar and one tower of a coil pack go bad. As I recall, with the coil packs they fire 1 & 4 and 2 & 3. You could switch the wires for 2 & 3 on the coil pack and if # 2 starts missing on warm up - there's your problem.
