'79 supercab; ignition timing???
i'm working on my '79 supercab. the engine is a 351m, i am trying to set the timing but i do not know what it is. the manual i have says to look for the sticker in the engine compartment for timing specs. its not there...does anyone know the timing specs???

Most set the base timing at 10*BTDC. I usually warm the engine up and set mine with a vacuum guage to the highest amount of vacuum, then check with a timing light for reference and adjust carb settings. Remember to disconnect and plug the vacuum advance hose when setting base timing.
