I'm considering an excursion for my everyday truck I'll still have my van for hauling but there will be times where I'll need 2 load up 20-30 4*8 sheets of plywood or sheet rock any of you guys doing this? they slide in no problem? I know when I had my suburban the sheet had 2 go in on angle ......I've just started researching the excursion so I'd figure i'd ask thanks for the help

Note that while you can slide in 4' x 8' sheets flat, the "bed" area rises up some on top of the folded-down second row seat(s). If you're going to haul sheet-rock, I'd suggest laying in 3 or 4 2x4s so the sheets won't tend to bend (break) where the rise begins.
thanks for the replys....what is the actual width that you can slide in? I see the first responce said true 4*8's slide in so it a tight slide? or do you have room would a 49" *97" still slide right in? well once again thanks for the tips

Loading sheetrock or any 4x8 sheet is as easy as cake, as a contractor and the x being my main truck, i have hone it many times. For easier loading undo the hindge thing(I dont know the real name of it) that way the the doors swing all the way out and out of the way while your loading. It takes about 1 sec to do it and 1 sec to put it back on. Ive have a mix of drywall and osb stacked as close to the ceiling as i could and did not experience a single problem.
Unclemuck is correct, Particle board or MDF that's supplied at 49" won't slide in. It would probably go if the spare tire was removed. I just stick them in at an angle.
