Frost? I live in Phoenix! Whats frost? seriously, I have heard if you rub a slice of onion on your windshield the night before it will keep frost from forming. Never tried it but heard it somewhere.

I also use the remote start. Start the truck 3-5 mins before you are ready to leave and by then the truck is nice and warm! Well worth the investment IMO.

Remote start here, the whole cabin is warmed up nicely let alone the windows being de-iced. I wish the heated seats would activate also..

I have a sheet that I cut in half lengthwise. Prior to frosting condtitions. With front doors open, drape the sheet across the window. Shut the doors against the ends. Pull off in the morning ,foldup and lay on the floor. Works for me.

Talking

Some of these posts are Hilarious! If i toss warm water on my windshield, the frost will be the least of my problems..lol

Picking up all the shattered glass from the inside of my truck would then be my problem..lol

I guess asking someone from Arizona what to do about frost is like asking this Canadian boy about what to do If i get stuck out in the desert!

Thanks for the good laugh all you arizona residents!

Why scrape the frost anyway?
Just roll the window down and stick your head out.. No waisted time, gas, electricity.

get the frostbite treated promptly though,

The heated seats in our new 05 SD stay in the last setting they were in when the truck is turned off. My wife leaves them on all the time so when she starts the truck with the remote start the seats are heating up also. It's been -20 or colder for 5 days now and she is loving the the remote start and the heated seats.
