I have an 89 F150. The oil pressure gauge, fuel gauge and temperature gauge are not operating. The speedo, tach and voltmeter are working. Is there a problem that could be causing the three gauges to be inop or does it indicate three separate problems? Any help would be appreciated.
Could be one of a few things. Sending unit per gauge(depending on gauge, some have sending units, some don't_ could be the voltage regulator/rectifier on the back of the dash panel causing this(Ford's not so great idea) and could just be dirty connections, weak wires(corrosion at terminals or in the wire itself). Removing each connection, cleaning them, best start, most time consuming, but no parts required. Check for broken wires, bad grounds, etc. Replace the sending units, replace the voltage reg/rect on the back of the dash panel. If none of this fixes the prob, the guages are screwed...but I'd bank on the gauges as a last resort.

Only one of those you'll miss is the fuel guage - the other two never did a THING for you anyways.
